The embroidery pattern for this camisole was taken from Embroidery Hints, Fall and Winter 1910, which is a catalog of embroidery designs for household goods. This was design 2150, for a 3-piece corset cover with both the embroidery and cutting pattern stamped on good Nainsook for 25 cents, or on extra quality French Nainsook for 40 cents, available in small, medium, or large sizes.
This design includes embroidery for the front and back of the camisole design. Eyelets sized for 1/4” or 1/2” ribbon have been included for use at the neckline, waist, and sleeves, if desired. Eyelets are arranged in pairs and individually.
This embroidery design has been tested with Wearing History’s 1910’s Camisole or Corset Cover (R111) pattern. It should also work with other camisole patterns, but please double check and adjust the placement as needed for your particular pattern.
We make every effort to ensure that our embroidery designs are well-researched so you can use them with confidence on your historical costuming projects. They may copy the wobbles or slight flaws in an original design, to help keep them from looking too perfect and modern. All our files are accompanied by a detailed description of the original design as well as stitching instructions and thread recommendations so you can get the most out of these designs.
You will receive a detailed PDF containing historical notes, tips for transferring your pattern, the embroidery design, and reversed design.
Finished size: The front piece is 6.4″ x 7.75″ and the back is 5.6″ x 3.4″.
This file will be available for immediate download once payment is processed. All digital sales are final and cannot be refunded, so please check your purchase carefully. If you have any questions about the suitability of this design, please ask before buying.

This design is bundled with Wearing History’s 1910’s Camisole or Corset Cover (R111) e-pattern. This camisole or corset cover pattern is based on an original period pattern from the 1910s. It is equally lovely when worn for period costume or worn as a modern casual top!
The front and back are cut loosely and the front retains a bit of the “drooped” front which was popular in the early 1900s. This camisole adjusts at the neckline by running ribbon through lace beading and tying it to your preference. The waist is permanantly axed to an interior waist stay, and then accented with lace beading. This camisole or corset cover can be made sleeveless or with short, gathered sleeves attached to a cuff. It can end at the waist, or be made with a peplum.
This pattern includes bust sizes 32″-48″ in one size packet.
BUST- 32-34-36-38-40-42-44-46-48
WAIST- 22-24-26-28-30-32-34-36-38
This pattern was original for WOMENS SIZING. Juniors, Misses, and Plus Sizes may require alteration for fit.
The waist ratio is very different than current standards, but testers substituted larger waist pieces with no difficulty. If your waist exceeds the size chart, we have included information on where to enlarge the waist and peplum pieces.
What to expect from this sewing pattern:
