Ready to Ship 18th c. Ladies’ Embroidered Pockets

SKU: N/A Category: Tags: , , , , , ,

This listing is for one machine-embroidered early-18th century pocket decorated with a floral bouquet and sprigs of flowers. This design is based on an extant example in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum that is dated to 1718-20, accession number T.42-1935.

Each pocket is machine-stitched in silk or wool thread on linen fabric. It is backed with cotton and bound with cotton tape ties. Each pocket measures approximately 13″ x 9″.

These pockets were stitched as samples while developing the Hannah pocket design. This pocket is also available as a machine embroidery design or hand embroidery pattern.

There is one each of four colors – blue silk, yellow silk, lilac silk, and lilac wool. The second photo shows the full design. The design is the same on all four pockets.
