Floral Sprigged Apron, Fichu, or Handkerchief

Custom Made Apron, Fichu, or Handkerchief with scalloped border and floral sprigs.

This listing is for a PHYSICAL ITEM. If you would like the digital embroidery file instead, please see the listing for design RR104.

This is for an embroidered mid-18th c. ladies apron, fichu, or handkerchief machine embroidered with a waving border of vines with leaves and flowers, edged with delicate scallops. There is also a small floral spray that can be used alone or with the border to create aprons and fichus suitable for the late 18th and early 19th centuries. This design for muslin embroidery was originally published in the June 1826 edition of Ackermann’s Repository of Arts, Literature, Commerce, Manufactures, Fashions and Politics, as seen in the last image.
This is a custom item, and will be made to order. The apron, fichu, or handkerchief will be machine embroidered in cotton thread on cotton lawn fabric.

Please note: This custom made item will be shipped 3-4 weeks after purchase.

If ordering an apron, you may choose an apron with just the border, or a sprigged apron with the scalloped border AND the body of the apron filled with floral sprigs, as in the second photo. Aprons are gathered at the top and sewn to a linen waist tape.

A fichu has one repeat of the floral spray in the bottom corner, as seen in the first photo. This may be omitted if desired; please message us to discuss details.
