Hand Embroidery Design for 1820s Holiday Dinner Dress

Description

This listing is for a hand embroidery design for a bough of holly with berries. It is based on a gown in the collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Accession #2015.98a, b.

While the original design was used on a Regency dress, it would be equally lovely on holiday decorations, stockings, or table linens.

We make every effort to ensure that our embroidery designs are well-researched so you can use them with confidence on your historical costuming projects. They may copy the wobbles or slight flaws in an original design, to help keep them from looking too perfect and modern.  All our files are accompanied by a detailed description of the original design as well as stitching instructions and thread recommendations so you can get the most out of these designs.

You will receive a detailed PDF containing historical notes, tips for transferring your pattern, the embroidery design, and reversed design.

Finished size: 5.25″ wide and 6″ high

This file will be available for immediate download once payment is processed. All digital sales are final and cannot be refunded, so please check your purchase carefully. If you have any questions about the suitability of this design, please ask before buying.

Unless otherwise specified in an individual listing, the purchase of a Romantic Recollections, LLC embroidery design grants you a single-user license. This means you can use our designs to create items for personal use or to sell. You may not sell, share, trade, or give away the design files themselves.

All designs, patterns, instructions, and photos are copyright Romantic Recollections, LLC.
